Whether your goals are to get rid of unwanted body fat, build muscle, increase endurance, or just to get healthier and feel better, keeping track of what you eat can help you get there. It took me until the second half of my freshman year of college to realize that what I put into my body actually affects how my body looks and feels. By cataloging when and what you eat, you can get some insight into the many ways your food impacts your body and mind.

New Year’s Resolutions 2014

Another year for Protein and Produce, and big changes have come as usual. Here’s how I did on my 2013 New Years Resolutions, and my new ones for 2014.

Another year for Protein and Produce, and big changes have come as usual.

The first four months I was still backpacking in India, after which I took a few weeks to recover and get back to life in America.  Next, I took up some fun jobs to enjoy myself, try new things, and get closer to finding my passion.  Following my streak of taking leaps of faith, I moved to Boston for a great job and new take on travel.  I’ve since started back on my path of healthy living, and this new life will surely inspire more writing.

Wake Up and Drop Pounds: Burn Fat and Get Healthy Every Morning

When the alarm starts blaring at 6 AM, the first thing on your mind probably isn’t exercise. Those thoughts are reserved for something like “How many times can I hit the snooze before I’m late enough to get yelled at, again?” along with a choice selection of a few four letter words. But here’s the thing, the morning is possibly the most important time of the day if you’re interested in getting healthier and dropping some pounds, and honestly, who isn’t And the best part is: you don’t need to go to the gym to do it.
