New Year’s Resolutions 2013

So it’s been a year since I started this up with a list of New Years Resolutions, so lets see how I did:

Write: Started
It’s a start, but a meager one. I’ve written 8 posts (including the New Years one) in a year, which is a pretty terrible ratio.
Health: In Progress
Here I’ve done a little bit better. I pretty much nailed down the diet and have followed it somewhat consistently.
I have yet to write it all up and document my progress.
Fitness: Started
Ideas, principles and methods are mostly laid out, I just need to do them consistently.
I started running for the first time in 8 years. Not consistently. But it’s a start. See @RunAylonRun.
Skill: Completed
SCUBA Diving
Yoga
Karate
Probably a few more. Stay tuned for articles on these.
Minimize: In Progress
I have begun to assess my physical belongings and actively use less things
I still have to go through and actually get rid of things. That’ll come after…
Travel: Completed
Part of my lack of writing here has been due to my planning and carrying out a backpacking trip through India. This was typed and posted while sitting on a beach in Goa, typing this up on my iPhone. Expect travel articles upon my return.
Produce: Started?
This was a little vague, but I’d say I’m working on it.
Live: In Progress

My scorecard: Not terrible, but definitely needs improvement.

Let’s see if I can do any better this year.

Since last year’s categories were pretty solid, I’m going to reuse most of them this year, with more specific goals.

Actually get on top of this site
Post at least once a month
Health
Finally publish my in depth write-up of the diet
Further limit Cheat Days
Keep it up.
Fitness
Do 100 Push-ups every day
Hopeful side effect: be able to do 100 Push-ups in a row
Develop a consistent running schedule
Skill
Continue to learn more new skills
Learn to surf
Expand and improve upon my current skill sets
Dive more
Yoga several times a week
Get back into meditation
Minimize
Get rid of most of what I own, paring down to the essentials
Travel
Travel my own country
Produce
Build something. Anything.
Live
Go camping
Take a road trip
Cross more things off my LifeList
Passion
Get closer to finding my passion, and what I want to do with my life
Give
Help one person a week, in any way that I can
